Great weekend
We had a great weekend 24-26 June 2016 in 2 campervans with friends. Excellent site with clean facilities. Very helpful Wardens who coped well with very wet grounds.
Certainly a site to revisit!

Another excellent stay here , great wardens, clean and well cared for site , one of my favourite sites so much to do there ....
over night stop
We only stayed at the site for one night, but we will be going back. What a beautiful site very clean, and great to see the rabbits running around very friendly.
The wardens are first class very helpful I wish we could have stayed longer.
First Time Out
This was our first trip with a caravan, we were accompanied by friends in their van but what a great site to start off with. Very friendly welcome from the staff, good viewing for the other vans already parked up as I worked out what to do and certainly a lot of tips on how to do it. The site is perfectly set up and the facilities excellent. Lots to do walking and the Nene Valley Railway on your doorstep. City Centre only a few miles away yet you felt it was hundreds. Will be going again sometime and taking the grandkids with us next time! Thanks to my friends the Rocks who's help in getting us sorted and a cold beer was just what the doctor ordered.

Fabulous stay
Fabulous stay at Ferry meadows, staff really accommodating, we had a great long weekend. Lovely clean site , small childrens park on the main site , bigger park on the other side that has been refurbished and is excellent. Will be back soon .

Love this site
This is our second visit to this lovely site having enjoyed it so much on an eight week trip last year, we made a point of returning even though we live in Scotland. It is so peaceful and a bonus was watching seven young stoats playing just behind our pitch. It is such a lovely clean tidy site and very close to amenities. For motorhomers it could not be better and the steam train running close by is brilliant worth a trip on it into Peterborough too, very nostalgic. We will be back

Absolute Haven
We have just returned home from another visit to Ferry Meadows. We had an absolutely lovely time there. The site is spotlessly clean and the wardens are so helpful and friendly. We did have a slight problem with rain seeping under the awning in one thunderstorm and have decided that some drainage would be helpful on the side of some of the roads. As my husband is deaf and I am disabled the wardens were kindly at our beck and call for all our needs and were always asking if all was ok. We so enjoyed this Haven that we stayed a few more days and will definitely be returning before the year is out.
Drainage Problems
We really like the site and the adjacent park. Everywhere is well maintained and clean and the wardens are very friendly and helpful. Access to Peterborough by train, bus, cycle and walk is excellent.
Our only problem was drainage. Admittedly it absolutely poured with rain at times but our pitch, 112, appeared to be the lowest one in our area and surface water ran down the access roads and headed for our pitch. We were in the middle of a lake at times with water up to 3-4" deep outside the caravan door. The storeage box, we keep under the van, floated away. The water soaked away quite quickly but we were left with a lot of mud which it was difficult to keep out of the van.
I'm not sure what the solution is but some gulleys to drain water off the access roads would help. Otherwise avoid pitch 112 if heavy rain is forecast.
Quality and helpful service
Previous reviews seem right in that this is a lovely clean and well equipped site. The surrounding Country Park is brimming with activities and great for us dog walkers. We had an accident at the exit barrier and were impressed with the efficiency of the response of staff who co-ordinated entry and exit for others while quickly getting us back on our way. Thank you
Must try harder.
We have been coming to Ferrymeadows for over 30yrs, it is one of my favourite places, but this time I feel it let me down. Toilets etc very clean as always. Very good welcome from the wardens, but the site was in need of some care and attention. It looked over grown. Only saw the wardens when the bins were emptied. The wardens of old would come round and have a friendly chat especially in the evenings. They knew what was going on every where. This is missing now. Shut up shop and disappear until the morning now. I would like to see more of them. Children cycling round and round not slow either, places saved by putting a chair in the pitch ! But I still think that Ferrymeadows is my favourite place.
