Wonderful Stay

We stayed at Ferry Meadows for our second time from Sunday 31st July - Thursday 4th August and as a family we throughly enjoyed our time. The wardens are fantastic and so helpful. The site is spotlessly clean which is testament to their hard work and commitment. The wardens arranged a family fun day for everyone to join in which which we loved and was really enjoyed by all who took part.  I'd recommend the site to families and to people who want peace and quiet as there are two different sites which suit everyone's taste. I'm in no doubt we'll be back again!!

Exactly how a site should be kept

Only our 2nd outing with our caravan so we thought we'd try a local site ( 30miles) but we will definitely be going back  Immaculately kept  Shower block was spotless  well done the maintenance crew Very welcoming reception staff Right next to Ferry Meadows country park which is just beautiful  Take your bikes and you will enjoy miles and miles of lovely lakesides trails The nearby Beefeater served great food Pitches are well laid out so that there are several small "fields " so there isn't the feeling of being crammed in or part of a massive site Very nice

Great 2 weeks

Stayed on ferry meadows for 2 weeks from 12th July. Site gets very busy at a weekend however no problems with the showers always plenty available and very clean. Nene park just outside the site is great for walks and 2 pubs within 20 minutes walk. Nene valley railway just 5 minutes walk and we got 50% discount on ticket price. Would highly recommend this site wardens very freindly and always busy around the site.

Loadsa Kids!

Being old and grumpy we tend to avoid the holiday madness that is motor-homing when children are off school. This time we didn't and there were a few little treasures around. With some children there was a distinct lack of parental control! This is about the site, not the kids ... A good tidy site, pretty well located. The Wardens are a nice friendly bunch and they appear to have everything under control. So no bad points there. A big plus point for me was that the Nene Valley Railway runs alongside the site, they do a decent job of running a standad gauge railway preservation operation, well worth a visit. Also adjacent to the site is a huge public park, it takes a while to get around and is worth the effort. The city of Peterborough doesn't seem to have a happy vibe, lots of long faces to be seen and not much communication. There are other towns nearby more wortgy of a visit.

Our local site.

We visit here quite often as its only a short journey and do enjoy it.However on this occasion as it was the start of school holidays we were concerned with the amount of children on bikes riding against the traffic flow even at night without lights and fear an accident. Also considering the amount of money spent on a new playground we didn't appreciate it when 20 children decided to demolish undergrowth and build a den in the spinney adjacent to our pitch some cutting across the rear of our unit and one even riding into the support pole of our awning. Will return but out of school holidays.

Great site

We have just spent six nights at Ferry Meadows, having been told about how good this site was about ten years ago! Well it was worth the wait, a fabulous site clearly one of the best on Caravan Club circuit, the wardens are all brilliant and the cleanliness is absolutely second to none. The Nene Park is beautiful with miles of cycling and right on the doorstep. We are in a motorhome so we hired a car from Enterprise to visit locally, but the bus is not too far and you can always take the steam train into town, it's only a five minute walk to the station. We enjoyed Peterborough very much lovely city and fabulous cathedral. Definitely recommend. Thanks to all at Ferry Meadows

Flying bicycle and smelly ladies room

Nice area for the club site, enjoyed out visit at Peterborough cathedral and around town centre. But was worried on our way back on our caravan because loads of children flying on their bicycle on same road for the car to use and I can see an accident waiting to happen. I wasn't also impress with the ladies facility, as you open the door there is an distinctive smells of wee.. And also when you're inside, the smell get worse..This might be because of school breaks.. The site was more busy.  Probably won't be going back but will be trying all the club site..

Great location

We only stayed one night as we were on the way back from somewhere else, but decided we'd enjoy a longer visit in the future. It is so convenient being next to the country park - even though ours was a short stay, we still managed a couple of long-ish walks. Friendly wardens, clean facilities, quiet and peaceful site. What more could you ask for? We will definitely visit again.

Seasonal Pitch

We have taken a summer seasonal pitch this year, as always this site lives up to its expectations. Cleanliness is second to none, wardens very helpful, facilities and local amenities superb,I didn't score 5 on peace and quiet, but that is only to give an honest review, after all it is a wonderful site for young families and with that comes the sound of kiddies playing. Doesn't bother me or most people as overall we love this site and will keep coming back over and over again.

Very Nice

First visit to the site and very pleasantly surprised. Booked for two nights but stayed for three wish we could have stayed longer. Nice spacious and level pitches. We stayed at the east side which we much preferred as more informal. Nene Park is adjacent to the site with free access. Superb park with lots of walks. Also ideal for dog owners. Facilities very clean and staff helpful. Well worth a visit. Also easy access to Peterborough via car, cycle or walking. Will certainly visit again.
