Excellent site

We stayed on the site for 17 nights and really enjoyed it great location with plenty of walking to be had, the only negative comment we have is how inconsiderate some people are, we love dogs but to leave one tied to a tree all day left to bark continuously is totally unacceptable. We would love to return and hope it won't happen again.

A Great Site

I had a four night stay at Ferry Meadows and everything about the site was spot on. the site is split into two areas one primarily grass pitches for families and one mainly hardstandings which I stayed at the was very quiet and peaceful. Security also seemed good. The pitches themselves are nice and well spaced with mature trees and bushes round, plus a few very tame rabbits and squirrels. Everything is clean and well kept with no issues. Good welfare block with washing up and shower facilities plenty of hot water all the time and kept clean. Site staff were all very helpful and pleasant, you cant go wrong.

Not what we expected

First time here and it’s a mixed bag. The location in the Nene valley park is amazing. The pitches are lovely and secluded. But was surprised to not have TV on the bollard. The signal is dire and even the site says TV signal is poor. So why no bollard point? Also, although advertised as WiFi there is none! We have a minimal 3G signal which isn’t great. Don’t won’t go be overly negative as the location and pitch is lovely. But I need WiFi or mobile signal to work and really like Tv to unwind.

Excellent stay

Just returned today from a four night stay and i would like to give the wardens credit on how the site is being maintained. All facilities are clean and wardens very friendly on arrival and when met at other times. One particular couple we have seen an lots of occasions and they are always friendly. It was quite quiet so may be different now the school holidays are here. Based on our experience it was a great stay .

Very Enjoyable Stay

John, Louise, Lucy, Leigham, Pete & Chris the wardens were outstanding in everything they did, from arrival to keeping the site in great order. I had an issue with my sons gas bottle in his newly purchased camper van, which John in particular went out of his way to help and assist in resolving the matter. This sort of help and support is what makes the CAMC so special to me. It’s the wardens who day in day out go above and beyond to ensure our stay and breaks are great. Thank you all for the hard work and effort you put in. The site was quieter than usual as it’s just before the main School Holiday season, which was pleasant. Not to say it’s nice to hear children playing and having fun. We were delighted with the condition of the site and all the facilities. We took a walk to the main Ferry Meadows park for an enjoyable afternoon. I’ve been to this site a couple of times and now feel it’s a great local site to spend time with our children and grandchildren as it has everything we all need. Thank you again to all the wardens for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Lovely Site spoilt by small minority

The site is situated in a fantastic open space park full of things for all the family. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately our visit was spoilt by a small minority with 8 dogs, four of which were tethered to trees for 12 hours a day continually barking. The owners did nothing to stop the noise. I didn't think these sites were to be used by commercial travellers going of to work each day with no concern for other site users. I joined this club to have quality sites with peaceful relaxing atmosphere. I don't mind dogs at all but this was too much Sorry. Not sure if I will return

Great friendly staff

Arrived on the Friday friendly helpful staff still have to meet a grumpy one at this site. I cannot praise the staff on here enough they are not jobsworths they are very friendly and helpful. The toilets and shower blokes are spotless well until some visitors get in there, they park is spotless wardens are often see gardening or watering plants, park is regularly patrolled by staff so it feels safe and secure. Clean friendly and very quiet, have already booked to go again can't rate this site higher, many thanks to all the staff for a lovely visit.

Lovely welcome and stay

The whole team are fantastic and keep the site in pristine condition. What a lovely welcome and stay. We enjoyed chatting with the managers on Saturday when they had time off and were at the local restaurant/bar. You are all a credit to The Club. Many thanks for your hospitality and keep up the good work!

A little piece of heaven 😊

Just a lovely welcoming site , beautifully situated and maintained but the real jewel is the committed team of staff. No matter time of day , weather or tasks being performed ALL of the staff had smiles on their faces and a pleasant word ( or joke) . Will definitely return for a family camp ASAP. Tony and Sal T.

Ferry Meadows Club Campsite

This was our first visit, and we will certainly try to revisit when we can. The arrival process was as simple as pie. We were greeted by a member of the very friendly staff and as we had already prepaid ushered through the barrier to select our pitch. Now to put this next comment into perspective. We arrived on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and as soon as we started to set up on the pitch we were blasted with extremely loud music being played through a PA system. It was emulating from a public car park located behind the site, obviously this was beyond the campsites control but as a first time visitor it was a bit disconcerting to say the least. We set up as quickly as possible and decided to take a walk into Nene Park. The park was extremely busy with family's enjoying themselves but as the park is so vast there are loads of walks, we had our two dogs with us and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We easily lost ourselves in these beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately when we returned to the site the music was still being blasted out but we were determined that this was not going to spoil the start of our visit. This site, itself, is located at the very entrance to Nene Park with as we have already mentioned all its vast selection of walks. There are Cafes, Shops and even a Restaurant Bar located at the sailing club. Where you can sit out and enjoy the views over the lake. We took quite a number of walks at varying times, and enjoyed a much welcome Coffee and Cake to reward ourselves. Ferry Meadows is one of those sites that surprises you, the staff are amongst the most friendly we have encountered, and that is by no way a criticism of other C&MC site's staff. The pitches are arranged in small enclaves around a one-way system. You will more than likely be visited by the resident rabbits and squirrels. As a Motorhome user we were surprised by how level the pitches were, if fact this was one of the rare occasions where we didn't need to use levelling chocks. Just to mention the facilities these were at the standard of excellence that we've now come to expect from C&MC Sites. On a lighter note, the hose in the Chemical Disposal Point didn't leak! The downside of this site, there always is a downside at any site, TV reception is virtually zero. Yes there are TV Points at the bollards but you need a fairly long antenna lead to reach. WiFi and mobile reception however is good.
