Brilliant site for families we come here many times during the season. Facilities always spotless thanks to the hard working wardens who are always there to help. Having the ferry meadows park on the doorstep means there is always something to do... we are off to the Amazon warehouse and doc martens factory outlet!
Nice site, shame about the wardens.

Brilliant site
We have been to this site many times and it is still as good as ever. Wardens are really friendly and although they are busy always have time to talk to you. We travel 269 miles just to stay here, the Italian ice cream van that visits most evenings is worth having as is the Chinese Takeaway that delivers to the site. Although this is a big site it does not feel it as it is in two halves and always seems quiet. The wardens keep it in a very clean and tidy way and for Motorhomers not wishing to drive , there is a Tesco express, chemist, vets and newsagents just a pleasant walk away.

Very busy but warden is tops !
We stayed for 7 nights from 3rd July and at the weekend it looked full to capacity but the warden and his team kept the site properly looked after and the toilets and showers were spotless after each clean.
The warden in charge was really friendly along with his very active team.
There are great walks around the lakes and along the river which make it very relaxing.
It is very likely we will be back next year and the 210 mile drive each way is well worth it.
First time here, will definitely not be the last!
We stayed here for 4 nights last week for a mini-break, and were very impressed with the site. It is very well maintained, the facilities were first class and the staff friendly and helpful. We met other campers who come here regularly and we are very likely to start doing the same. Local attractions are just right for us, including places to eat. The local bus-stop is a bit hard to find from the instructions given, but we will know next time!
Overall we have no hesitation in recommending Ferry Meadows to anyone considering this site.
Family visit
We use Ferry Meadows to visit family in Peterborough. It is an excellent site, with spotless facilities, and offers us a little haven to come back after visiting children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Luckily, our recent stay coincided with beautiful weather which was a bonus.
A Super Site
We can't think of anything to say against this site, The wardens are all helpful and friendly & keep the site spotless it's a credit to them, its no easy task keeping everywhere clean& tidy with so many people using the facilities ,the hand cream provided by the wardens in shower/toilets & washing up areas is a lovely touch. The reception has milk bread butter cakes plus much more. The security barriers give the site that extra security which is nice. There is so much to do in the area that one could easily stay for a long weekend or more & not take car off site. We very much look forward to returning again soon.

Spoiling children's fun.
This is our second trip to this site which we checked out last year for our grandchildren. As it had a great play area and a small basket/ football area we thought this would be great for them. We stayed over the school holidays so site was full, on the second day the football area was closed due to siteing Caravans too close to this area, as fence surrounding the compound is not high enough, to stop the balls going over.My grandson went to site office after a couple of days to ask when will it be opened, and was told it may not be opened until the next week. A couple of days later it was opened, only for one of the wardens to stay to the boys playing football, if the ball goes over twice then it would be closed for the rest of the holidays. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, other members of staff could do with some training in been helpful. We really would have enjoyed this site ,but was spoilt by some of the wardens. We have been to over 80 club sites in our 15 years of caravaning with this club but feel badly let down by this experience for our grandchildren and ourselves.. On the plus side ,site is lovely and is great for children, Toilet block was always kept clean and tidy. Lovely bike rides from site to Peterborough. Will i go back NO. Mozza.😡

Lovely Site but it is a pity they close kids playing facilities during busy periods (Half term)
Great site but they closed the basketball/football court for most of half term. Apparently the ball was being kicked over the fence and hitting caravans that had parked behind it. During the closure these older kids then went and played football in the kids play area instead (which is not allowed) and this terrified the younger children and several of them were unable to use this facility for several days as a result. The site really needs to remove the pitches directly behind the basketball/football court or install a higher fence. Both of these options would cost money but what is the point of having a facility if it can't be used during busy periods? I wanted to play some basketball with my 10 year old daughter but was unable to do so. Should they advertise that they have a facility which cannot be used? Otherwise a great site.
Lovely site and would visit again
We stayed for 3 nights at the end of the half term with our 2 children on the east side of the site. This side of the site has a large childrens play area which we parked near to, consequently it was a little noisier that maybe other parts of the site but we expected this and it was just the sound of children playing.
The site itself is very nice, the pitches were good. We did feel a little squished in but then it was very busy with half term. The playarea kept the children happy there was plenty for our 6 and 9 year olds to do.
There is a chippy that comes on a Wed, Fri and Sat to the east side information centre. We didnt have any this time but they smelt amazing.
We spent a fair bit of time at Ferry Meadows either walking around the lakes or at the cafes and didnt move the car other than to go and get some shopping from one of the local supermarkets.
Overall a lovely stay
