What a lovely stay

Stayed on this site for 8 nights. Very peaceful, just the sound of the river Barle and birds twittering. Facilities very clean, grounds too. No play area for children. Within a 10 minute walk you are in the town of Dulverton with a good Co-Op, bakers, fantastic butchers, post office etc. Lots of places for a meal or just sit and have cream tea! Just outside the site there is a grass area which runs alongside the river Barle, why not have a paddle or just sit and take in the views. There are maps, booklets etc for walks, cycle routes, lots of info for the area too. If you are a Motorhomer and like to use the buses check the timetable as we found them not very good unless you travel for some time, then have to leave early to get back! The wardens that were on duty for our stay, Bridget and Bill were really helpful, friendly and have a good sense of humour which was needed as they didn’t have their computers working for two days!! You can imagine what issues they faced when people turned up and they had no idea. They took some very nasty remarks from some people, totally unnecessary, we did feel for them as they worked so hard making sure all their duties were done to perfection. THANK YOU BRIDGET AND BILL, you made our stay even better.
