Good choice

We wanted a site that was close to a town or village and not too big. Dulverton met those needs admirably. Being on the edge of Exmoor provided some nice walks from the site, with plenty more available after a short drive. Dulverton is a nice little town, a few minutes walk from the site, with several eating establishments, a well stocked Co-op supermarket, butcher, greengrocer, bakery (get there early!), and a variety of other shops. The Town Hall has regular markets, acts also as a cinema, and hosts many events. It also has several an interesting churches. We enjoyed the Landrover Safari (mentioned in the site details). The site would probably not suit young children (in fact there were none visible during our stay). We liked it so much that we extended our booked 7 day stay by a couple of days. This site makes a good base for exploring Exmoor, and would make a good stopover site for those travelling to Cornwall. For large outfits or motorhomes some of the local roads could be challenging, but in May we found the roads to be very quiet. As usual, the site facilities were of high standard and well maintained. Mobile phone reception is not good unless you are with Orange (EE). I'm sure we'll return to this site in the future.
