A Super Relaxing Holiday - We Will Definitely Be Back! 5* Recommended

It was our first time staying at this site following recommendations and watching some video's on YouTube. The site is set in a beautiful location and is very easy to access from the main routes. This is very quiet and relaxing site to stay on. The site is run by Gail and Mark who have recently taken over as wardens. They run the site with immense pride and they are constantly cleaning and cutting the grass and trimming the hedges while at the same time being available to answer members questions. On arrival you are greeted by beautiful flowers (Marks Begonias!) outside the office. The hard standing pitches are super wide and are easy to get onto. If you have a motor mover you can go on forwards and take advantage of the views of Exe Valley. There are grass pitches on site that are set out the same and very easy to park on. If you are up early you may hear the owls in the trees and see the rabbits running around the site. There is a play park for families with young children that is well maintained and a large dog walking area. We have seen on some older YouTube video's that it shows a games room. This has now gone. There is a walk down through the site to some lakes and onto a pub called the Anchor inn. This does great food and has river views where you can sit outside to eat when the sun shines. You are very close to Dulverton that has a Co-op and everything you will need. From there you have lots to do and see. Tarr Steps, Minehead, Withypool Team Rooms, Lynton & Lynmouth not to mention some amazing views of the Moors! We loved our stay here and will 100% go back to visit this site. It is lovely.

Caravan

We have just returned from a 2 week stay here, from the moment we arrived the management were really helpful and knowledgeable and could not do enough for you and very helpful. Mark was so helpful as it was my boys first time at the fish lake and gave them a lot of encouragement and help on how to fish also even took the time to come down to the lake to see how they was getting on. The site was very clean and well maintained would recommend a stay, see you next year and thanks again. Erica, Terry Harvey and Alfie

Exactly what I needed.

I have just retuned from a 5 night stay using the site as a base as I was on a course. From the moment I arrived, Gail made me feel really welcome and allayed my fears about pitching up by myself (First trip in caravan without the other half) What a lovely, peaceful and quiet site with plenty of space on each pitch. The site itself was clean, tidy and set in beautiful gardens. I didn't get a chance to explore the whole site or the dog walk but was told by other residents how good it was. A meander down past the fishing lake took me to the local pub which is really a lovely place - highly recommended!!

Lovely 5 day stop

Just got back from a 5 day stay. Warm welcome from the wardens. Great for dogs, large dog field and the Anchor pub just 10 minutes walk away is dog friendly inside and out. Plenty to explore in the surrounding areas.

A real gem

Wardens could not have been more helpful, especially considering it was a busy Jubilee Weekend. Great site, excellent facilities, dogs really enjoyed the large fenced off field. All good!

Many superlatives

We have visited Dulverton Exmoor House many times but always passed Exbridge on our way, however my husband had a tent pitch with his motorbike last autumn, so we booked. Exebridge is wonderful. No other words. Spotlessly clean, quiet and peaceful. Panoramic views extend 360° around the site and the pitches are very generous. Although not part of CMC there is a fishing lake adjoining the site, that can be used by visitors for a reasonable daily fee. A beautiful Exmoor drive takes you to Minehead with all the attractions of the seaside. Finally, the wardens were all very ind and helpful. We WILL be returning.....soon.

Week Away

We have just returned from a week away as a couple with dogs. The site wardens Gail and Mark we didn’t get the other wardens names but they were all very friendly and approachable. The facilities were immaculately clean and well kept. The site is peaceful but there is a little road noise at times. We cannot comment on families as we didn’t take children but there is a childrens play park. There is a dog walk on site which is enclosed so your dogs can run off lead. The pub, The Anchor Inn, is within a brisk 5 minute walk or leisurely 10 minute walk, the food is plentiful and well priced. Be sure to ask Gail about the cake shop in Dulverton, you may want to call the shop in advance to book your pies or cakes, as they are extremely popular. We would definitely return because of the relaxing time we had 😊

Lovely site

We stayed here for a weekend in April. The wardens could not have been more helpful or reassuring when we had a near disaster with our caravan. I was even given a bottle of wine to cheer me up! The site is quiet with lovely views & is within easy walking distance to a local pub. Grounds are neat, tidy & well maintained. The shower & loo’s are exceptionally clean. Some of the serviced pitches need movers if you want serviced pitches as well as nice views. Site is a few miles from the village of Dulverton. Apart from the tricky Black Cat junction the site is easy to find. We are looking forward to booking another trip to this site

Small Print

Should have read the small print on the site pdf as the grass pitches were closed and open up subject to local planning rules so we missed out on these nice pitches and only had a choice of one hardstanding or a tent pitch next to the water treatment plant. There are a lot of seasonal pitches on the hardstandings so choice is limited if the grass is out of action. We've been before and the site is well cared for with some nice views. There's a flat stroll along the river Exe via the gate in the pub car park, little riverside beaches can be found on this route. The site managers have produced some good walking sheets for longer walks, these are in the information room. We didn't get to the pub this time round, it has good outdoor space and riverside seating, there was a notice outside saying open from 12pm but they were closed for a wake, so we were out of luck on that too! If you like those spacious grass pitches ring the site managers first, we found out too late.
