Lovely site in a great location

I wanted to explore the North of the Lakes and found this site. It's a great location, with the train line at the end of the entrance road. Although the actual station is a few miles away in either direction. One day we did a beautiful walk along the Eden Valley to Wetheral, a pretty little village with a lovely pub for lunch. As we approached the river we were lucky enough to see 2 otters playing in the river. We could not believe our luck. Another day we jumped on a train at nearby Armathwaite to Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales. The journey was amazing as we travelled through the pennines across to Skipton. I have done the journey many times in a car, but on a train you get a whole different perspective. Loved our stay at Englethwaite Hall. There seemed to be 2 sets of wardens, all were really friendly and helpful. They did an amazing job of keeping the grounds beautiful. Loved the fairy garden, a nice little touch.
