Wild Camping springs to mind.

This site is ideal for taking the bus to see Edinburgh, once you take the 15 min walk along the overgrown, litter strewn dog messed pavement to the bus stop. I would also recommend cycling to and over the Forth road bridge. On arrival at the site we were strongly advised to put bikes in their lockers and informed there had been an attempted robbery recently. Just what you need to relax you at the start of your holiday. The camp site is not in the most desirable area in Edinburgh but a few hundred yards away it does have the aptly named Gypsy Brae. The site itself looked a bit overgrown with shrubs/bushes left uncut (to be able flower apparently) the grass was in obvious need of a cut but they had done some before we left. With one toilet block closed there were often queues for toilets and showers morning and night. With an overgrown site with toilets that can’t be accessed and security issues “Wild Camping “springs to mind but not at £45 per night. C’mon CAMC your standards are slipping.
