To be fair.......

Have just read some recent reviews of this site and feel they have been a bit unfair. Yes, one of the toilet blocks is closed for refurbishment but I knew this well before I arrived. Some of the site's pitches are unavailable because of this. However the queues have not been excessive, even at peak times. If you want a modern toilet block then this has to happen occasionally. There is a "pop up"gypsy encampment a ten minute walk away but that is a national problem, not just Edinburgh. I live in Dorset and we get it a lot. I think the offering of lock-ups for cycles is a good thing. It shows the Club has reacted positively to solve a potential problem. My wife and I have felt safe and secure here and we're a couple of OAPs. Yes, there is a building site down the road and there is a littering problem in that area, but I fail to see how the Club can have any control over this. As they say it will be fine when it's finished. The site is well maintained with large pitches, and the wardens have been great. We went into the city yesterday on the bus yesyerday and had a great day. A twenty minute walk to the bus stop and a thirty minute ride into town. Just £2 each way. We would happily return here in the future. If you've booked this site then come and enjoy yourselves. It is a city site in Edinburgh, it is not Devon or Cornwall
