Good for families

A convenient place to stay

The staff at the site were excellent. As we arrived late they made every endeavour to make sure we found our pitch easily. They were very helpful coming out to help us after hours. This was our first experience of using the Club and this site and it was excellent. The site is exceptional well maintained - the best facilities we have experienced. Clean, plenty of space. We particularly liked that they had separate male and female areas for the toilets/showers - it felt a lot safer. There were plenty of sinks and free use of hairdryers also. Lots of easily accessible water taps and spaces between motorhomes was very good. The site was lovely and convenient to catch a bus into the city. The only down side was the noise - the airport is very close and overhead noise of low flying planes every 30 mins was hard for us to sleep well. The information on catching buses was vague. It mentioned tickets were £2 each way per person but there is a better value ticket that the bus drivers told us about - a family ticket of £10.50 which gave unlimited use throughout the day, including return. (There were 4 in our party - two adults and two children). The tickets one way are actually £2 for adults and £1 for children. It is about 30 mins on the bus to enter the city and there is so much to see. I advise you do some research first and decide what you would like to go to. The freebies which were amazing was the Art Gallery and the National Museum - it takes hours to see all they have! We did try out the Orange Bus Tours - we found them expensive and unnecessary. You will find out more history if you go on YouTube and sit on a regular bus!
