Revisiting family and places in Edinburgh

The site is relatively easy to find as long as you follow the directions as stated by the site. Arrival time was at our convenience so we were able to get on site before the usual 1.00pm stipulation which was really convenient as we had only travelled from Strathclyde. The staff were friendly and pointed out where there was available pitches but advised that towards the rear of the site and behind trees there was a football pitch which was used at weekends and obviously road noise on the opposite side of the site. We chose a pitch not far from the toilet block which had ample space and privacy. There is a little noise from planes landing and taking off from Edinburgh airport but this did not effect our stay. Quiet at night time. A short walk to catch the local bus which at £1.60 single trip to Edinburgh was excellent value, and the buses ran every 12 minutes! There is also a local mini bus which can be booked but we didn't avail ourselves of this service. A short drive from the site and there is a lovely walk to Cramond following the estuary. We will definitely return.
