Our third visit!

The site at Edinburgh is really well maintained and managed by very friendly, helpful wardens. Location is good although it's a bus ride into town ........... numbers 16 or 27 at a very reasonable £1.60 for a single journey. You can also cycle by an excellent series of clearly marked paths across and around the city. I also cycled via Cramond to the Forth Bridge ........ enjoyable ride on the waterside via the Dalmeny Estate. There's also pleasant leisurely cycling on the promenade which is 5 minutes away. Couple of good cafes at Cramond. Pitches on the site are a good size with standards just what you would expect from the Motorhome and Caravan Club. There are a small number of gold standard bike lockers although they are not big enough for a mountain bike with wide handle bars and 19 inch plus frame. The wardens are more than happy to lock bikes away in the garage for additional security which was a bonus. I usually lock mine securely onto our motorhome bike rack with appropriate quality locks but was happy to have the garage instead! It was our third visit for the festival and fringe and as ever had a great time. The sun shone too!
