Second time I have stayed here & great location for dogs, easy to get to promenade & you can walk as far as you fancy. So I would probably think this is also good for families. Site is lovely & a little hint - park in the Silverknowles municipal golf course car park & buses stop there for Edinburgh City Centre. Apparently it is ok to do so according to bus driver. The only reason I didn't give full score - It is very noisy on road side from early in morning - unfortunately right where you pay £3.60 more to have a serviced pitch. So next visit I will have a std pitch.
