Enjoyed our 3rd visit this year to this excellent site to enjoy the fantastic city of Edinburgh. I'd like to dispel the notion that this site adjoins a dreadful council estate. It absolutely doesn't. The site is 75 % surrounded by huge playing fields and a golf course with a road on the other side which leads down to the beach. I'm fully aware the site in the past has been targeted by opportunist bicycle thieves but the fabulous wardens have worked hard to address this - bike lockers are now on site - and I've never felt any less secure on this site than I do at any other. Aircraft noise is evident but I always wear earplugs because of my hubby's snoring so that sorts that! I do agree as others have said the toilet blocks are now looking tired and a refurb would be welcome. Overall, it's a lovely site with generous pitches run by very friendly and efficient wardens.
