Edinburgh Club Site

This was our first visit to the club site on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We used this as our base to visit family but also to go to the early stages of the Edinburgh Fringe. The site was easy to find despite major roadworks just off the A720 City Bypass. The welcome was great and we got a first class pitch. Toilets and showers were of the expected high standard. Buses to Edinburgh, numbers 16 and 27, are roughly every 10 mins ..... after a 10 minute or so walk to the bus stop. There is some great cycling in Edinburgh with well marked cycle paths round the coast and into the centre. Booklets in the information centre were really helpful. We enjoyed walking/cycling on the front towards Cramond although it was surprisingly busy. Walking the other direction towards Granton is not so attractive as it's up for redevelopment. Whilst there is loads to do in Edinburgh the site isn't that close to local amenities so go prepared! The staff were friendly and most helpful. We plan to go again next year during the festival in late August 2016.
