beautiful site

this is the first time we have been to the Edinburgh site and as usual it was immaculate clean and friendly like all caravan club sites. It is perfectly positioned for a lovely walk or bike ride on the prom getting a bus into the city is simplicity itself just don't come back after dark as the path is pitch black and it would be a bit risky to walk down. we had a very enjoyable stay here but were grateful it was only for 3 nights as it is right on the flight path for the airport and the police helicopter seemed to be needed every night which was rather annoying. It is this noise intrusion that would stop us from returning

Weekend break 20th March to 23rd March

We had a weekend break at Edinburgh caravan site last weekend and had a most enjoyable time. We used to be regular caravanners at Edinburgh up until the wardens changed for the season and we found that they were not the same friendly wardens previously and also the toilet block was nowhere near as clean as they should have been. After hearing that the wardens had changed we decided to give it a try again and what a huge difference. Walked into reception and was greeted by a very warm welcome from Muriel who knew us from previous years of being regular visitors. It felt as if we had never been away and made it so much more appealing. The toilet block again was immaculately clean and couldn't be faulted. We have more visits planned this year and we are both looking forward to it.

quality site

This is the third or fourth time we have stayed here and enjoy it every time. Ideal location and always clean and tidy with helpful staff. Good bus links and the day saver ticket well worth it! Can't wait to go back.

lovely site

We visited this lovely site for the first time last weekend  6/3/15 and what a gem of a site.. When we arrived we were greeted with a very warm welcome and lovely smile from the site warden , we chose our pitch carefully and everything was Close at hand from the well kept shower block to water/waste dispensers, the only thing we heard was when the planes were taking off from nearby Edinburgh airport but it wasn't any problem sleeping, the bus stop into Edinburgh city centre is only a 10 min walk from the site and takes about a15 min journey. I shall definately visit this site again very soon... Bill.

Wonderful site :-)

The site is very well located. Not too close so plenty of open spaces, not too far to not be easy to access the city and local attractions by the frequent local bus routes. The site wardens are excellent, a warm welcome, helpful, and they maintain the site to superb standards :-) Do not miss a visit to the Royal Yacht, and tea in the on board restaurant is a real treat ! The local attractions are too numerous to list, so use the information room which has lots of good publications. Enjoy :-)

Edinburgh

First outing of the year - for Scotland/Italy Rugby at Murrayfield.  More peaceful then staying in a busy city hotel for the weekend.  We have stayed here so many times and we are never disappointed.  Bus stop only five minutes walk from site with regular buses into city centre.

Great start

This was our first ever trip in our caravan so a bit daunting. We arrived in the dark, much later than we'd hoped. The staff were extremely helpful and we felt reassured!! They continued to be helpful throughout, we loved the site and the whole atmosphere. Very clean, easy to access, no problems at all.

Last weeks stay

First time as a member staying at a club site. The owners were very friendly and really helpful, supplying us with area info and bus timetables etc. The dog walk down to the beach is beatiful. As you can imagine the middle of February is quite chilly so it was a relief to find the shower room lovely and warm. Ideal location to explore Edinburgh and the surrounding area. Will definately visit again.
