Lovely clean and big site, little noise from the planes. great for the hop on hop off touring buses.
Aircraft noise!!
Stayed here recently for 4 nights - sadly due to the persistent noise from the flight path to the airport these were sleepless nights! Site is well situated and very well looked after. Toilets and showers very clean. Handy for the bus into Edinburgh and all the attractions. Sadly wouldn't stay again due to lack of sleep :-)
Good site and location
We arrived on Tuesday 12.07.16 what a nice welcome we have been on site for 11days the staff are a credit to the caravan club who work very hard the facilities are spotlessly clean, yes I must admit a bit tired but still in good working order with all the different nationalities that come to site it must be a very challenging job but they are all still smiling I must thank the staff member that helped me out with a roll of electric tape as I had a problem with my awning leg that kept falling down nothing was a problem they had very good knowledge of the surrounding area bus times.the grounds are immaculate grass cut and edges trimmed after a few days you get used to the aircraft flying into Edinburgh great location for walking the dog along the promenade I would definitely recommend this others and will return myself for another holiday. once again I would like to thank the staff for a wonderful time keep up the good workÂ
City Break - Edinburgh
I picked this site as a city break on my way home from touring round Scotland. I thought the site itself was great and the location within walk of the Firth was also nice. I did find that the planes flying overhead was a distraction especially as the weather was so good. you are far enough away from the main roads no to have any road noise. all in all a good site and I would return.
Usual Club site but very close to Edinburgh
One of your usual instantly recogniseable Club sites with all the usual amenities and layout. Best point is the location - within a few miles of the city and all that it has to offer which is wide and far reaching! Brilliant city to visit. Further you are in close proximity to many other attractions such as the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies and the various bridges over the Forth. Queensferry under the bridges well worth a trip. There was some aircraft noise as the airport does seem to be used until late but no road noise or noise from other campers. Worth a visit for the trip to Edinburgh alone.
Nice site but
Been here three times but not for a few years. The site its self is fine , the down side is the noise. Saturday night your fellow caravans sit outside drinking, shouting and laughing until gone midnight. The main road out the site attracts speeding unsilenced cars. Then there's the flight path to Edinburgh Airport, and its very well used, add this to the inevitable yappy dogs and what do you get, bedlam. Will not be back to this site. Staff though excellent.
