We Have just spent our first weekend away this year at this site , chose this site as was affiliated to caravan and motorhome club , and believed it would be of a good standard , On arrival , staff were very welcoming , talk you through all you need to know , was very disappointed that we were not given a choice of pitch , we were told our pitch number and off we went , we did get quite a nice pitch at the edge of site , although a little unkempt , dandelions and the gravel had the black membrane coming through , Our motorhome has the door at the rear , so door was to the rear of pitch facing the hedge , not been there very long , setting up van and boiling the kettle for a long awaited cup of tea , when my 11 year old daughter spotted our next door neighbour urinating into the hedge in clear view of our van , and others , Toilet block was a 2 minute walk away !!!! ,totally shocked and appalled , had to then close blind on that side for rest of trip , did not know what to do , as did not want to cause a fuss or have an argument , over the course of the weekend this happened numerous times , dirty swine , Next , the PLAY PARK , great as it is , as so big , needs a muga or lock up cage for evenings , kids still running around abusing people on plots next to park , after 10 pm , kids riding bikes in the dark with no lights ,actually really dangerous to both the kids if they got knocked off or to adults who they may collide with , kids running around toilet and shower blocks hiding from staff , I went to the bathroom around 10pm , to find that one older gentleman who's plot was next to park , was not very child friendly , and was out shouting at the children who were just laughing , felt really quite sorry for him , second evening around same time , member of staff was trying to take control of park , giving warning after warning to no avail , kids hiding in grass and toilets till he would go , the children were not just kids having fun at this point , the park had been open since 9am , so if your sited next to it , no holiday lay in for you , be aware !!! next , DOGS , some owners were allowing dogs to roam on peoples pitches and to defecate on and around pitches , when the dog designated area was right behind our hedge on a massive walking field , shame how a just a few people let the dog lovers community down , lastly , biggest shock, I actually thought i was seeing things , a small boy def not over 10 , was smoking a vape , when I saw the cloud of smoke , I actually thought i might have a cataract, but no was sneaking up down between hedges to smoke , unbelievable . plus point , nice view , nice staff , / the cons , not a peaceful place to go for a relaxing break , def would not recommend if you want peace , or expecting caravan club standards .
