We are at a loss why this site is affiliated to the C&MC as Away Resorts (the new site owners) don't give any discount to C&MC members. It seems they want the advertising from the Club but don't want to give anything back. We found the site to be scruffy and in need of some maintenance. There were some lovely pitches on the site, but unfortunately we didn't have one. Our hardstanding pitch was very narrow and was full of weeds as well as the membrane popping through the thin layer of gravel. A gap in the hedge in front of our pitch meant that other campers walked across our pitch as a short cut to the toilet block - which is very annoying! The toilet block had shower rooms which were okay but at times were rather busy as the adjacent toilet block was closed. There is a shop on site which is mainly a large caravan and motorhome accessories shop with an aisle of groceries. The information in the 'Guest Services' building was very limited, mainly a few printed pages and some tourist information leaflets. The 'Holiday Heros' all seemed like they didn't want to be there - no cheery 'hello' or a wave when we saw any of them. For us, the only positive point of the site is there is a gap in the hedge which leads straight to the coast path. The site had been recommended to us so we were disappointed with our stay and are not sure if it has changed since Away Resorts purchased it last year. It's not a site we would recommend or would wish to stay at again.
