We booked here for a one night stopover en route to Orkney but the quality and location definitely justify a longer stay. There is nothing around about by way of bars or restaurants so take whatever you require with you. We knew this and called in for tea at a fabulous fish and chip shop in Helmsdale called La Mirage. The site itself is beside a wonderful beach of golden sand and our pitch backed on to the access gate which being dog owners couldn't have been better. The toilets and showers were very clean, the site well looked after and the wardens welcoming despite us sneaking in just before the 8.00pm close. The site was completely full and apparently with the marketing of the North Coast 500 Route this is becoming a regular occurrence, so if you fancy staying here its well worth booking ahead.
