Recent stay at dunnet head was really disappointing. Great site, with nearby access to the beach. But due to covid 19 the site access to the beach was closed off, apparently to deter unwanted guests from the beach! However these unwanted guests still came onto site from the public carpark outside to use toilet and perhaps shower facilities after surfing and visiting the beach! These facilities were already not running to full capacity due to the covid pandemic and only allowed one person in at a time, meaning one morning waiting 45 minutes in a line for a shower. Meanwhile inconsiderate people used the facilities for an incredible amount of time, knowing that people were waiting. To top it all, two very ‘industrious’ wardens, especially the gentleman warden who marched around being very ‘stand offish’ with his face covering dangling around his neck yelling at the people in the shower queue that they weren’t social distancing! I have visited another 4 sites within the clubs network and privately owned sites since lock down eased and I have not experienced anything like this. Unfortunately a site to avoid, Definitely until the pandemic eases, which I don’t see happening anytime soon.
