Perfect
We enjoyed a 15 night stay at this wonderful site. The wardens, Steve and Mark were very warm and friendly and worked very hard to make sure everyone enjoyed their stay they are a credit to the caravan amd motorhome club.
The entrance is very good with only one outfit able to go through at a time, no queue jumping here. A previous reviewer mentioned the road to John O' Groats. Yes the road runs past the site but busy and noisy? I don't think so.
The facilities were of the usual high standard and we found the pitches in very good condition. The beach is a haven for children and dogs alike and was well used by all. We were very lucky with the weather during our visit and we were able to see the breathtaking scenery at its best. There is also a forest with good walks about a mile from the site. We drove along part of route 500 to Bettyhill and words just can't describe the beauty of the surrounding scenery. We visited Castle of Mey which has a gift/coffee shop we would recommend. Mary Ann's cottage is worth a visit, its interetsing to see how people used to live. The town of Wick is a few miles drive and has a supermarket situated on the outskirts. Thurso also has a supermarket and nice tea rooms and lovely walks. We visited the Mey highland games which were attended by Prince Charles who took the time to have a walk about and was very pleasant to everyone. You never know who you might bump into on a caravan holiday!
Sometimes in life things just work out perfectly and this was one such occasion. 😆
