Stayed here for 7 nights during late June. The wardens were excellent always ready with a smile and advice. The site itself does back onto a road and due to our late arrival we had very little choice but to pitch next to the road. Don't panic if it happens to you there is very little traffic and to be honest we got used to it quickly. A bigger problem were flies (not midges) they did seem worse nearer the road, no idea why, possibly the long grass which borders the boundary fence. Flies aside this is one of those sites with some views out to sea meaning some people are on permanent alert for those with a sea view leaving. It's then a case of who can get that spot first. It's also one of those sites (an increasing problem perhaps) where outfits turn up well before 12 noon (as early as 10.30am according to the wardens) to try and get those perfect pitches. Provides good entertainment but is another example of the rules being for everyone else. Back to the site itself. It is in a glorious location and the sun sets are worth the effort of getting there.
