We stopped here for a couple of nights whilst travelling the NC500 in our motorhome.  It looked a fantastic site in the book and right on the beach.  Unfortunately, we did not look at the map to see the other side was right by the road.  We arrived late afternoon after visiting John O Groats and therefore were left with only pitches along by the road.  This made it very noisy.  We had a run in with the wardens who we found to be aggressive and seemed to have their own rules which we were unaware of.  This spoiled the whole experience as the beach was fantastic and we had a long walk and couldn't seem to get to the end of it. After 28 years with the CC we have now joined the C&CC.
