This site is well worth the going the extra mile to get to. The site is very open but the facilities are as you would expect from a Caravan Club Site. After being attacked by midges at the previous site it was brilliant being able to open your windows and get fresh sea air. The views and the beach are excellent and we and dogs loved it. The surrounding area is great to explore, taking the single track roads and finding quiet coves, at one of which we found several seals basking and swiming that kept us amused for a while. The boat trip from John O Groats is well worth it to see all the sea birds on the rock faces. Also Dunnet Head worth going to to take pictures of the Old Man of Hoy in the distance.
