Sadly, this site is council owned and managed. This effectively means that it seems to be run by poorly motivated staff who become lazy. It's such a shame as this site has all the ingredients to shine. A simple example.........instead of strumming around trees, hedges etc a big band of weedkiller is used instead. The best pitches are seasonally occupied. The cafe doesn't even have opening times on the door. It's clear that the pitch we booked had an awning seasonally pitched on the grass the previous year. It was a dead muddy moss covered square, 1 week into May, after 8 months lockdown. Such a shame. It's not universally bad, just not up to Caravan Club standards.
