Not as good as last year!
I followed the directions as per the website (and not the sat nav) and ended up miles away from Dornafield. I rang the site and a lovely man helped me and guided me back to Newton Abbott and Dornafield, absolute hero. I had booked to arrive 1-2pm, but after the instructions, 'leave at Junction 31' and getting totally lost, I arrived at 4pm. I was told that I should not have left at juncion 31 by a lady on the desk, and I was the only person to have done this! Not a great start. The site was half empty (it was full last year) and it seemed quite miserable. There were substantial roadworks going on outside the site on the main road, with a 4 way traffic system onto the lane leading to the site. The pool cues were removed from the games room when the office closed at 6pm, due to an accident with kids messing around last year. This meant that for the very few older kids on the site that there was not much to do on an evening.
The signal and wifi was terrible and with a teenage girl in my caravan, she had to keep venturing out to find a spot where she could use her phone.
Dornafield is a lovely site, we loved it last year and this is why we re booked it this year. I am doubtful we would return, mainly due our own requirements that they could not fulfill.
The pitches are a good size, well maintained and the shower and toilets are cleaned to a high standard.
