Peaceful, wildlife friendly site
We just had a lovely 4 nights here in mid May. The wardens are friendly, helpful and very enthusiastic about the wildlife. They have created swathes of wildflower meadow around the site and encourage wildlife with feeders and other measures. We were very fortunate to see a red squirrel very close to our van. The area is quiet even when the National Park is very busy, with excellent walking and cycling from the site.
