Our second stay here this year and plan to visit again. Super friendly wardens who keep the site spotless. Brilliant dog play park area with agility equipment. Very quiet site (I assume due to no showers/toilets/play area) and surrounding area which suits us perfectly. Lovely walks from site - we did a great 8 mile walk and only saw 4 other walkers and some fishermen in the lake! Short drive to other locations for other quiet walks or shops and takeaways. Lots of birds on site and managed to see the resident red squirrel too. Occasional flyover by RAF Typhoons. Large pitches, slightly to very sloping depending on which one you choose. Helpful leaflets for walks and other local information. Easy access to site - the final half a mile from the main road is reasonably narrow but plenty of passing places.
