We bought our first caravan a year ago, and Daleacres was the first site we visited - not too far from home and good reviews. A year later, we returned for our first caravan anniversary, and it was just as good. It's a lovely peaceful site with excellent facilities - nice clean shower block, great dog field. The staff were lovely - really friendly and helpful. It was quite busy the weekend we stayed. We had pitch 106 this time which was OK but a bit shaded at this time of the year due to the surrounding trees. Nice and quiet away from most other caravans, though. What we like is meeting other people, comparing notes about caravans, dog owners are always chatty, and it's so relaxed. Straight away we unwound and chilled out. Places to visit - the Electric boat on the Royal Military Canal where we saw lots of kingfishers, and lunch on the beach at Griggs. Hythe is lovely, lots of individual shops rather than chains. Next time we'll come with our grandchildren so we can review the play area, too!
