Good for families

Nice Site, but.......

Just spent 7 nights at this site - really enjoyed SOME of them. Approach road is a bit narrow and locals don't give any quarter but received a warm welcome from Warden on arrival and service pitch was excellent, as was the large dog walking field. What spoilt it for us was the number and noise of the many many children that arrived on Friday evening. I know this is described as a "family" site but didn't realise just how many would descend at the weekend. Usual footballs and cycle riding round the wrong way for two days then peace again on Sunday evening. Sad that not once did we see any children using the large playing field at the rear of the site. Lots to do in the local area and some major attractions within easy reach. Unfortunately had a moron arrive on the next pitch who erected a flagpole in gusty winds which fell over on our last night and nearly hit my car & caravan. Would visit again but only Sunday - Friday leaving the weekends for "families" and their children.
