Booked late as the weather was looking good. Site was in ‘run down’ mode ready to close at the end of the season. Everything was still clean and tidy and a number of grass pitches had been renown as people had clearly not lifted their ground sheets. We were on a serviced pitch which was very convenient, however the pathway to the toilet block was very dark at night and could do with some lighting at the reception end where it comes to the site roadway. Even with a torch my wife felt insecure. The site is good for visiting the area, The White Cliffs of Dover (NT); The Battle of Britain Memorial; Rye, Canterbury and the RH&D narrow gauge railway all within easy reach.
