A nice break

Having always gone west, we thought we would go east this year to see what Kent had to offer. The site is well kept, grass cut (unlike other reviews that said it isn't) and toilet block clean (apart from what other people leave behind-would they leave their one at home like that?!). The wardens keep themselves to themselves, but are friendly. Lovely large dog area, which was important to us. Kids play park is not how the picture shows, it has been updated and I would say is now significantly smaller, however, there is a play area, which is a large field for ball games etc. We found that the layout of the site, meant people cut through other peoples pitches, so little privacy and had kids cycling between our car and caravan as a short cut, luckily we escaped any scratches! Also, rules are not followed and dogs were in play park and play area - both clearly marked "No dogs allowed" - having kids and a dog, we understand why this is, and don't get why others feel they shouldn't follow the "rules"! Lovely walk along the Royal Military Canal and Brockhill Country Park is also a pleasant walk. Kids loved the local zoo too. All in all, a nice break, but site is let down by users and not the wardens!
