We visited Culloden first last year and returned again for 7 nights at the end of August 2022. It is very well run by the principle wardens Joe and Sarah. The site is a credit to their hard work, the most pleasant greeting on arrival, and nothing is too much trouble for them. We were pleased when we arrived this time to see that there was an assistant warden couple there as we had seen last year the site was a lot of work for just one couple, although you would never notice because of the extremely high standard of the overall maintenance of the site. Part way through our stay, the assistants were sent off elsewhere which coincided with Joe being off sick. This left Sarah working single handed. She of course coped although we felt it was extremely bad management on behalf of OUR club, and not a way the staff who look after us should be treated. It is a terrific site which we would highly recommend and we shall certainly return, hopefully with Joe and Sarah still in charge, but with a permanent assistant couple there as well.
