POOR PITCH ALLOCATION

Very disappointed over pitch allocation which seems to favour some members over others. We arrived on Saturday for one night and had booked an awning pitch. We were allocated pitch 30 but when we pitched we would not be able to receive satellite TV because of the trees. Went back and asked if we could be moved but we couldn't because they were full up. We then noticed that pitch 21 exactly the same length as ours was vacant, so went back to the office to be told we couldn't have that. I asked why and was told a load of flannel but then noticed against our pitch was written "not to be moved". I asked why and was told the main warden had done that. Then asked what I wanted to which I replied an awning pitch where I could get satellite TV. Offered pitch 46 which was ideal. We pitched 50 minutes after arrival. Why could we suddenly be moved because we complained. Presumably the wardens were keeping pitch 21 and 46 for their mates. Hardly fair to all members. Of course the location of the site is perfect for London but it is poor value for money and your face must fit to get a decent pitch.
