This wasn't a site for us really
We stayed here at the beginning of September 2024 whilst touring. The site is beautiful and clean, heavily covered in trees and almost entirely grass pitches. Unfortunately after the arrival the weather became very heavy prolonged rain which meant that the site was waterlogged in places. Also the Club's new waste management meant we had to walk a considerable distance from the pitch to the only recycle bins by the exit, this was not good in the rain as it took quite some time to do the walk. There was no Wi-Fi on the site and very low quality in the information hut. We had almost no phone signal with three mobile anywhere. The thing I really didn't like was that there are a total of 4 facilities block situated across the whole site but only 2 of them housed all the toilets and privacy sinks, the other 2 had the showers and no sinks at all and there was a reasonable distance between each block meaning you had to use one facility then walk to the next to complete what you wanted to do. I have had many facilities where the showers and toilets are separate but they have been in the same building so no walking in the rain. The great thing here was the excellent wardens and in particular I had fantastic help from Nicky in arranging our change of campsite when we decided the rain was not going to let up. Shame really, in the dry weather it would be really good for visiting Dorset but not for us in the rain.
