Lovely site with lots of deer
We stayed 3 nights on this site and found it a good base for exploring Poole, Studland and Weymouth. We had originally booked a hardstanding pitch which resembled a car park near the entrance but the warden recommended we look for a grass pitch which we did and ended up with a lovely spacious pitch. There was a lot of choice depending on your preference for being near others or further apart and how close you want to be to the railway line. It was disappointing not to be able to use our charcoal bbq which I think should have been mentioned on the booking confirmation as we booked a long time in advance and did not realise that only gas and electric bbqs could be used. The toilets and showers are in separate blocks which is mildly inconvenient if you aren't used to it but both are clean and functional. There were lots of deer about which was lovely to see but also to note lots of burdock on the edges of the grass which was difficult to remove from our dog's coat. We were lucky with the weather and would stay here again in the future.
