Relaxed peaceful site

Stayed here for 11 nights on 14th August 17. We loved the site layout so creative, unlike some of the clubs sites that resemble car parks. There are various glade like areas surrounded by trees. It was like camping in a woodland. The deer came to welcome us on arrival and we caught sight of them a few times during our stay. Yes the trains are fairly regular during the day and they sound their horn as they approach the crossing in the village, but you soon get used to it and funnily enough we didn't find it disturbing. I really value my peace and quiet and privacy when on holiday and our pitch was great. The facilities are not up to the standard of most caravan club sites and could do with an upgrade but I believe there are reasons why this has not been done, due to the site being leasehold. The composting toilets are weird but very eco friendly and didn't smell. I thought the dog walk was great - better than a lot of sites. There is a train station in the village where you can get the train to Weymouth or Dorchester or even up to London if you really want! We didn't take advantage of this, this time. You do need to use the car to get about. The co-op just along the road is great for supplies. We will be back.

Ps we didn't hear the quarry at all.
