No Ordinary Caravan Site

We stayed at Crossways many years ago and had a wonderful holiday. We tried on many occasions to return but due to circumstances had to wait until this year to repeat the experience. I was a little worried that it wouldn't be as lovely as I had remembered it but Crossways did not disappoint. A warm welcome from friendly staff, a beautifully tended site that is kept clean and tidy. Beautiful woodland with friendly deer popping out of the woodland to come to the caravan and see what you had to offer them to eat. Dolly even played with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Sam. Quite incredible. The only downside that we found were the fuzzy burrs at the side of the paths when we took the dogs for their evening walk. Unfortunately, they mat into the long fur and are a real pain to brush out (especially for the dogs!!). Unfortunately, where numerous burrs had caught together, I had to cut large clumps of fur from the dogs rather than subjecting them to painful removal. This is the only negative thing I have to say about this site and I'm not sure as this could be remedied anyway with it being a woodland. Not a problem for short haired dogs but long coats are a problem. We loved our stay at this location and will definitely return again. Crossways has it's own very special magic and we will look forward to our next visit (maybe when the burrs are without their seed heads!!).
