Stayed over 2 nights on the late May B.Holiday in our motorhome. The site was pretty full, unsurprisingly as it was the BH and start of half term week, so driving round to locate a free pitch was a little stressful. The site is arranged into a series of separate named copses, many of which are wooded and sheltered making it a bit difficult from the roadway to spot free pitches, even though we did appreciate being given the opportunity to choose one that suited us. We settled for the hard-standing area which was less crowded at the time we arrived and we had a perfectly pleasant stay there. The deer visited us and were remarkably tame! As others have said, the wardens are pleasant and efficient, the site is clean and peaceful despite being almost full. We would certainly come again though for more choice of pitch, maybe not on such a busy week!
