Fabulous friendly site where staff go above and beyond.
We had a 6 night stay at this site over the October Half term. We found the site staff so welcoming from the start. They were battling against heavy rains which had resulted in the closure of certain pitches but there was plenty of advice on where best to pitch and regular checks to make sure everyone was Ok, with flexibility on where to park to ensure you weren’t in the mud. During the week we visited Wareham Forest and managed to lose our dog which was very traumatic. However the wardens couldn’t have been more helpful printing posters off for us and putting them in plastic wallets because of the weather, as well as delivering them to our caravan. All this well after the time they should have been “open” for assistance. We can’t thank them enough. The posters and help of the local community (equally fabulous) meant we got our boy back the next day. We love this area and the site itself is charming. We spotted several deer and the kids loved playing in the wooded areas. Don’t be put off by the compost toilets. The cleanest, freshest smelling facilities we have seen in a long time! We will definitely return.
