We stayed on the site for 12 days, most enjoyable stay. The wardens were very helpful, polite and friendly. I can't comment on 'good for families' as this didn't apply to us. The railway wasn't too much of an issue, the trains don't run through the night. The station is a short walk from the site (via the foot gate) and Weymouth and Dorchester is within easy reach. The composting toilets weren't an issue and they certainly didn't smell when we were there. I do agree about the showers, the water pressure could have been better and they are a little tired, but always clean. The Frampton Arms do lovely meals, can recommend the carvery, they also do Gluten Free which is a bonus. This is our second visit to the site and will not be our last.
