4 Night Stay

Lovely site for our 4 night stay in Dorset. We were late to arrive so there weren't many pitches available but we chose one in The Heath which had sun most of the day. Only a short drive to Weymouth and Bournemouth is close too. Train station only a short walk from the site and a pub but we didn't use either. Composting toilets were fine, didn't bother us at all. The issue, however, as other reviewers have mention were the showers - they really need updated ASAP. Unfortunately we had an issue with our water pump so had to use them. On this, the wardens were very helpful in providing contacts for local repairs and checked up on us before we left on our last day. The other thing that annoyed us was there was on elderly gentleman with a cat a few pitches away who seemed to think it was acceptable to walk his cat on a lead all around everyone else's pitches letting his cat rub up against everything - nothing to do with the site though. EE mobile signal was poor but does mention this on the site map. I had a Vodafone mi-fi box and was able to get a signal with this. The train noise was evident but didn't bother us that much as were out most of the day. On our second night there were loud explosions into the early hours either from the quarry or military training area which woke me up, but didn't really hear anything the rest of the week.
