Our first visit here and to a site of this type in amongst the trees with very private pitches. Our pitch 111 was slightly sloped, but near to the shower block and water waste etc. Its quit a walk from our pitch to reception all uphill aswell, but the site is worth a visit. Very clean shower blocks etc. Loved the nature feel of the site. Found it far from major supermarkets. few pubs in coniston which are walkable from the site. Went to windemere and took a boat ride around the lakes. Plenty of cycle trails and kayak locations. A small walk to the lake at the bottom of the site which was great to launch kayak from with lovely views... Visited Beatrix Potters house and garden which was such a lovely thing to visit, as with things nowadays we had to pre-book.
