So glad we decided to pick Coniston Park Coppice Club, as our first ever camping experience. We live in the South lakes, so only a short 45min journey. The site is great, set in wooded areas, after finding a great pitch and levelling the van up, we then pitched the awning, which was the only downside, the pegs were very difficult to hammer into the hard surface. (not helped by the hot day).. The location of the site is excellent, the lake is close, however it was difficult carrying the Kayak with my better half. Coniston village was an easy walk along the lake, helped by the glorious weather. The site facilities were good, toilet blocks were great and spotless, the club shop had a good choice of items and not overly priced. We never used the food van so cannot comment on the fast food. All in all, we had a great stay, the weather did help, the sun was out both days, and it was still dry and sunny when we left the site. We will 100% visit this site again, and many times, due its location to both the lake and into Coniston, we also loved the size of the site, it was very peaceful, and well maintained..
