Lovely site in the woodland, close to Coniston Water which can be accessed from the bottom of the site. We were surprised how peaceful it was, as it was quite busy. Very clean facilities, and a small shop which was well stocked with all the essentials, and much more (including some very nice wine) The approach roads are quite narrow in places so larger outfits may find them quite difficult to manoeuvre. There is a pub serving good food a 20 minute walk away, and there is a takeaway van on site most evenings (pre-booked orders) We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return
