I recently stayed for 5 nights and was late in arriving(after 6pm) however this wasn’t any problem and the member of staff who greeted me was very welcoming and directed me to a wonderful pitch. I found the pitch had loads of space around it and not too far from the toilet block. Facilities were great, lovely and clean and smart toilet block. It’s a short walk from the site to the lake where there are opportunities for all kinds of water sports (I love swimming) and I saw people enjoying having picnics on the waters edge. Fabulous fell walks can be done from the site itself and saves hassle and money parking. It’s only a 20 minute drive to Ambleside.
