We stayed at this site for five nights in June. The site staff told us the best areas to pitch if we wanted sun and which areas were best if we wanted a quiet pitch. There had been a lot of rain before our arrival and some forecast when we were there, so that also influenced our choice of pitch! The facilities blocks are spotlessly clean, the information room has plenty of leaflets about the local area and there is a well stocked shop on site too. We can also recommend the pizzas! It's an easy walk to Coniston either along the edge of the water or along the track from the site entrance. A lovely site and highly recommended.
