If you like hardstandings that are flat rectangles arranged in rows, the minimum distance apart, and access to wifi this site is not for you. If you like individual pitches that are separated from others by trees and shrubs and enjoy the tranquility of staying in a wood out of contact with the outside world you will enjoy this site. As well as easy access by foot to the lake and the village, this site is a good base for visiting the Southern lakes. The facilities are spotless, the wardens are very helpful and there's a coffee bar/pizza van on site four days a week. Access to the site from the south is very easy - there are some short narrow sections of road in the last 10 miles but they are clearly signposted and the traffic is light even at busy times of day.
